Indie folk singer-songwriter Emma du Preez sounds off at this month’s free tapas, wine and music evening in Stellenbosch
The much-loved FREE concert series at Avontuur Wine Estate is back on the Stellenbosch calendar to help people ease into the weekend. Occuring in the warmer months, the sunset sessions will not only showcase a hot live music act, delicious fare and, of course, top-notch wines on the first Friday of every month, but will also introduce attendees to the farm’s newly renovated tasting room.
The next gig features the talents of singer-songwriter Emma Du Preez, and is scheduled to take place on Friday, 8 May from 5pm. Do note, this is the last gig of the season as the chilly winter descends on the Western Cape.
This up-and-coming indie folk musician has plenty of fans within the Mother City. Her gentle vocals, with their easy listening quality and her stellar guitar-playing skills have left audiences spellbound.
The string of sunset shindigs take place beneath a sprawling Bedouin tent on the terrace outside of the estate’s tasting room. Booking for the concert is essential as space is super limited, and patrons are welcome to pop in early for a quick cellar tour before nuzzling beneath cosy blankets on the patio for the live music performance (heaters will be on site to keep the evening chill at bay).
